St. Mary’s Deanery celebrates the Year of Consecrated Life

Catholics in the St. Mary’s Deanery will be hosting two events in celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life.

A dinner at the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. John Church in Maria Stein will be held Sept. 13 beginning at 5 p.m. Priests, Brothers and Sisters who live in this deanery, as well as those who are originally from a parish in this deanery, will be invited to attend. Following dinner, Precious Blood Sister Joyce Lehman and Missionary of the Precious Blood Father Stephen Dos Santos will each make a presentation on behalf of their congregations. Rich Rentz from Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Montezuma and a representative from the Serra Club will also speak.

The general public is invited to attend. Tickets are $7 and are available at the parish offices, or by calling Precious Blood Sister Regina Albers at 419-925-5415.

A Holy Hour will be held October 18 at 2 p.m. at St. Charles Center. This will give people a chance to gather from many places and pray in gratitude for those who have dedicated their life to Christ, for those who are in formation, and for future vocations.

Everyone is invited to attend these events and recognize the men and women religious who minister in the St. Mary’s Deanery.
