PBLC leadership teams meet

The PBLC members and their leadership teams came together on April 12 – 14, 2012, at the Spiritual Center of Maria Stein. Twenty-five leaders/team members gathered from the Adorers of the Blood of Christ- U.S. Region, Missionaries of the Precious Blood – Atlantic, Cincinnati and Kansas City Provinces, Sisters of the Most Precious Blood from O’Fallon, Missouri and the Sisters of the Precious Blood from Dayton, Ohio. Their time together consisted of getting to know each other; viewing displays of their congregational beginnings; presentations explaining how each community lives out their charisms today; a short history of the PBLC and past collaborative initiatives; a report by some of our members who are involved in ministry with those who are LGBT; small group sharing and brainstorming about future collaborative events.

The idea of a joint leadership team meeting had its origins a year ago as the PBLC met and discussed the possibility of having 5 out of 6 new leaders in the PBLC within 3 years. Last month’s landmark event of gathering our PBLC leadership teams together was only the second time in the 29-year history of the PBLC. Initial feedback from the members indicates that it was an enjoyable experience likely to be repeated sometime in the future.
