• To become a novice one must formally request to the Congregation’s President entrance into the Congregation. A novice lives in Novitiate Community, participates in all aspects of community life, and enters into intensive study, reflection, and prayer.

• During the canonical year a novice will learn more about religious life, study scripture and theology, and deepen her understanding and appreciation of the vows, history, mission, and spirituality of the Sisters of the Precious Blood.

• During a second year of Novitiate, a woman will participate in a variety of ministry experiences while she deepens her life of contemplation and living of the vows in community.

• Through further discernment and inner conversion of heart, a woman completes the Novitiate and requests the profession of first vows in the Congregation.
