Formation as a Sister of the Precious Blood

When discerning a vocation to religious life, there are many steps along the way. Each of these steps strives to help you go deeper into a relationship with God and with the congregation with which you are discerning. This process is not an overnight transformation, but a period of discernment and formation. Initially a woman visits several Congregations which she has studied. She spends time visiting physically or virtually to learn more about God’s potential plan for her and to learn more about religious life itself. Some basic questions that she may ask include:

• Do I enjoy the way the Sisters interact with each other and with me?

• Do the Sisters have a spirit with which I feel comfortable?

• Do these Sisters accept my future ministry?

To become a Sister of the Precious Blood requires careful exploration, reflection and prayer by the woman. A woman is guided through the process by a Sister of the Precious Blood. Below are our community’s steps of formation. (Click on each image to read more.)
